Introductions & Greetings

New in IL

Hey everyone, my name is Doug, I'm 37 and just got my first K5! Ive had a bunch of cars & trucks, but this is my first 4x4 in a long time! So far I'm loving it. She is from Texas & Florida and rust free, a 1990 Blazer loaded up pretty well. Has a newer GM crate 350 with TBI, runs great, I picked her up at my dads in TN and drove her back 600 miles, it was a blast! I think she's been lifted, but not sure how much, with 32 x11.50 x 15's she sits almost 77" from the ground to the top, anyone have any idea if thats stock or lifted? I have a tone of clearance around the 32's and it looks like 33x12.50's would fit no problem! She needs paint, but still looks pretty good for 24 years old! I'll post pics as soon as I can figure out how lol. I look forward to learning as much as I can about this truck, its already one of the favorite vehicles I've ever owned!

Hi all,

Besides plowing snow, I volunteer trapping & taming feral cats for local animal shelters and feline rescue groups. I've only been bitten twice and to the bone once (2 months ag:eek1:). All in all... I was gonna say not bad for 16 years but it wasn't nearly as much fun as it sounds! :waytogo: I have 2 'Trucks', a 1988 K5 that I redid from the frame up. After 10 years of plowing on NH roads it failed state inspection due to rust and was retired 2 years ago. (2012) It still runs like a top but is no longer 'street legal'. I hate to part it out but that looks like that's the way it's headed. My other truck is a 1991 K5 that I got at the end of 2012. It was a fire truck in California before that and I have to thank the guys at... Umm... (I'll have to find the registration and fill in this mind f@#t) for keeping it in tip tip shape before I got it! I had NEVER seen a K5 without rust before! Whenever it goes up on a lift, everyone in the shop usually ends up gawking at the undercarriage! I haven't had a chance to paint the topside. Being that it's plain white, I haven't dared to take the reflective markings off. Plain white trucks & plowing just don't mix, I don't care how yellow the plow is!:doah:

Back after 9 long years!

Hey guys, some may remember me as a young buck who went by "SlyDog" in Arizona. Well it's been about 9 years and need to get back out there! I am in Tempe, Az now and hoping to connect with some local wheelers to have some fun!

Veh details:
1977 K5
Dana 60/14 Bolt with a Detroit
High angle 1 ton driveshafts
Hydraulic steering assist with crossover
ORD doubler 203/205
38.5" TSL's on 16.5" beadlocks tucked under 4" tuff country springs and a shackle flip
And some "light" trimming

It feels good to be back.

-Paul

Hello

Hey, I'm Steve, I'm from Idaho. Current project is a 2000 K3500 CCLB SRW. It started as a 454/4l80e/BW4401 combo with a 6" lift. As of right now, I shoved a suped-up LQ9 6.0 from an Escalade and an NV4500. Keeping the BW4401. After that, it'll get an SAS just like my '92 did.

I've also got a 99 Yukon that will be on the chopping block after this truck ;)

Fresh 90 k5

Hey everybody, new member. Ive been on here for reading post and admiring rides
1990 k5 350, 700r4, 241, 10 bolt front and rear, no lift 33x12.50R15.

Plans are to make this an expedition vehicle, dana 60 front and 14bff rear. Disc breaks all around. Soft top, roof rack. It will be a working progress.

Hi everyone my name is Cody. I'm not new to the offroad world but a couple months ago I picked up a 73 k10 finally to start as a project truck. The way I got it, it has a 6 inch lift with new 35s with stock 12bolt/dana44, stock np203/part time kit and new warn hubs, semi stock 350/th350, no front driveshaft. I have big plans for it though, basically all new suspension, shackle flip with 56s in the rear, 4inch ez rides up front with a moved shackle hanger and longer shackle 14ff/60 locked/5.38s, np205, crossover with hydro assist, propane injection, 37s+ and some DIY beadlocks and at some point a mild 454/th400. This is just the start of this truck and I've already started collecting parts for it. I'll do my best to put together a build thread later on. I love this site and it's helped me a ton in doing research for my truck!

Hello. My name is Wayne and I live in Clayton, NC. Just picked up an 88 Blazer to cure my cravings after I sold my 74 K5 years ago. Previous owner (original owner) already modified it some (8 lug D44 front and SF 14b rear), captains chairs, etc from an 88 'burb and I probably won't do much more except possibly lift it enough for 35s but that will be awhile (haha, right). For now, it will be my weekend/hunting/beach rig.
