Hey all. Just joined yesterday.

Picked up an 87 K5 on a trade friday evening. My first fullsized truck.

Hope to learn from ya'll.

1987 is a good year, first year of TBI, and if it has a TH700R4, it is also the first year for the upgraded TH700R4.

Yeah, One of the previous owners of the truck, swapped to a carb set up. I'd have preferred the TBI, but eh you win some you lose some. It does have a 700r4, has a shift kit in it too.

Hi, my name is Justin. Hence the user name. I own a 1979 K10 SWB, Originally equipped with a 350/th350/np203/12bolt/10bolt, it is on it's way to being a 350/700r4/twinstick205/14boltFF/10bolt. I have converted the rear to 56 inch springs on a shackle flip, and the front is going to be 52 inchers. Got a 4 pack of 14" travel bilsteins and used crossover steering from a parts truck as well. It is just JSB (jack stand ballin') right now, and has been for a few months, probably will be for a few more. I can't get very much time in on her at once because I work too much and have a new baby. Anyhow, in Aurora Colorado, so if anyone wants to help, lol...
