Just joined i have a 1983 c10 that I swapted in a 5.9 cummins w/a sm465 trans turned up to 300 hp and 700 lb foot runs really good has been in the truck since 1990 I was pulling a 26 ft aljoe trailer back then there was not a clutch to hold the torque it put out I just go a clutch from south bend clutch hopefully it will hold

I got a 1987 K5 that I inherited from my late dad. I've had it since 2019. Several months ago I dropped the drive shaft and cracked the transfer case back case and tail housing, since then I have replaced the back case and fixed the tail housing , but when I try to slide the slip yoke in, it is a very tight fit. I have to tap the slip yoke in. Just wondering what c
 
Really tight new seal?
Can you tap it in, Or, Do you have to get a BFH and give it what for? Cuz, there's a difference. The prior is probably OK, the latter, not so much.

Can cause it.
Probably OK
Will it Break in over time?
 
We are all will to sort this with but you start a thread in the garage for this discussion.
Thinking maybe the slip yoke got tweaked when t case broke.

When I drop the driveshaft while driving. It must have bent the output shaft on the transfer case.
