I have a 1984 chevy K5 CUCV blazer from the military 6.2l diesel th400 and np208 transfer case. Its lifted so high that i need a slip yoke elimination to get my driveline angle less steep. The factory tails haft is long as hell
I read that you can do your own slip yoke elimination using a dodge transfercase shaft meaning swapping long shaft for short dodge one.
is this possible to do .
I have already installed the dodge shaft and have no 4wd I have the short shaft but no no 4wd . Do I have to pull all the guts out of the 208d and install them in the 208c.
I have a custom driveshaft on the way so yeah great timing I hope I didn't **** this whole SYE thing up. PLEASE HELP ME GUYS!

How did you measure for a driveshaft without having the case together?

Theres a couple really good threads on here. One member basically took the dodge back half of the case and the output shaft and put it together like that. Another member used the dodge output shaft and the fixed yoke tail cone and retapped the GM case so the oil ports lined up.

i have the t case all together now i ended up going with toms woods sye kit and different flange. But i assembled everything with the dodge shaft in and t case fully assembled and it turns out the drive shaft length needed to be 37'' and thats how i measured it.
i have all the right **** now
