Hello,I need help making a hard decision...I just bought a 1978 GMC 1/2ton 4X4 shortbed with 3in. of body lift on top of the 4inch lift-kit with 35" tires.Right now its got a 350 w/holley carb,performance cam and "rocker-rollers?",I'm pretty sure its a T350 trans.,and he told me theres a shift kit on it.He also said "the rear end is geared(4:11 he thinks?) to drive with the motor thats in it so the truck will NOT work right if I swap a 350TBI/700r/n.p.208 onto the truck...Is he full of crap?

As you may...or may not know there is some work that needs to be done to swap in the new combo. Driveshafts, crossmember, linkage, etc. Also I would swap in some 4.56's or 4.88's with the 700R-4.
