I got the Z bar installed, the bar that goes from the pedal through the floor is in. Now I am about to hook up the rod that goes from the z bar to the clutch fork, and it looks wayy too long. I am guessing I hooked this up incorrectly. Can anyone look at these pics and tell me what I did wrong?

Looks ok to me. Dont think I've ever seen a rod as long as yours though. Been to long since I have done the mechanical linkage. I have hydro setups in my trucks.

Yeah that rod looks suspect to me. Eff it, im gonna cut it and weld it back together at the right size. ish.

ya idk wha that rod is but the real one is about 3" long or so. 3/8" threads if you want to do like I did and make your own by grinding down the head of a bolt into a round sphere that fits into the clutch fork.

Sorry I should have updated sooner. I cut the old one down, made it fit. Ordered a brand new one, but this will work until it gets here. The trans shifts great, Should be ready next weekend for its first trail ride since the build up!

It's too late now, but do you realize you could have just drilled the holes and used the boot that goes through the floor? The holes should have been dimpled already.

If they hadnt been filled in with LINE-X then that coulda worked:-) I do not really care too much about the sheet metal on this truck, I have more, and I have a welder:-)
