is there a poormans Xover?

whats the difference in dimensions btw the for arms and the jeep arms?

im using a jeep arm and feel i should have a bit more travel.

what is the horizontal distance hole to hole on the ford arms?

Thanks for the links and help. It gonna be cheaper and easier just to buy the complete set. Does it help with normal steering? My steering wheel turns about half way around till the wheels actully turn? /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

The steering wheel turning halfaway before your wheels do is a gear box problem. On the top is a nut with an allen head inside. You can loosen that nut and adjust the preload bearing an 1/8th (tighten) of a turn at a time. Do not over adjust once you have tightened to the max you cannot go back. If at all possible (fundage) buy an aftermarket box AGR. I am on my second steering box and one rebuild and still am not satisfied with the sloppy steering. Good Luck. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

AGR boxes are trash, I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. I have heard NOTHING but bad from EVERYONE that runs one.

I dont care what anyone says...crossover is something you dont cheap out on...

Last thing I want is for something to fail and cause a accident and make me liable....

save up or look in the for sale section..if you want to make some parts, then enlist the help of a friend or friends who know what they are doing,

good luck /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
