Looked at it today and.. nope.
Of course it wasn't as clean IRL as it was on CL. The tires would have lasted maybe one more year. The lift sucked, couldn't turn the steering wheel more than 1/4 to the right. Had a tranny drop to compensate for the lift, not fond of that. The gears wernt low enough, I had to keep it in 2nd (L123 SM465) going up a small hill. Parking break didn't work, heater core was unplugged since it leaked. Rear tranny leaking pretty good. Inside wasn't as good as I thought it was.
It wasn't a $4600 truck. $2500 perhaps, $3000 maybe. But I'd rather start with a cheaper truck, and do the work myself to know it's done right.
So now I'm pretty set on buying my buddys 84 CUCV with a 350 in it. I can get it for $800, maybe talk him down to 7 or 6. And even though my intentions was to buy a truck that needed no work, and spend more, guess I'll get this and do it all myself. CUCV is a good start, plus I'll have a hydroboost. It needs exhaust, radiator mounts and hoses, a driver window, simple green and a pressure washer. I just wanted power windows, tailgate, and AC, even if it didn't work. Since its a DD. It can all be swapped in, oh and a radio.
