is this k5 worth 35k?

put the pipe down dealers . . . .

inside upper b piller cross bar trim way off center in pics for 35k price should be spot on .

and not 1 underside pic = hiding something for sure.

don't recall front fender badges painted body color on square under k5 . looks like paint is falling off anyway .

OMG, it has a G80. Absolutely not. lol.

That is very cool. It's not worth it to me, but if I had that kind of money to burn, I'd buy it.

I wonder why Chevy was so hung up on full time 4X4 there for awhile? My K20 had the 400/full time, and MAN it got horrible mileage.

They say something's worth as much as someone'll pay for it, so I guess that means it's worth $34,950. Someone must've had some stooopid money to burn though.

Passenger side door trim doesn't line up so hot either. For that price tag, you think everything would be flawless. Still, a rare find, that mileage and condition, with the 6.6, towing pkg. Wonder where it's been sitting for the last 40 years....?

Right? Hoping my mpg bumps up a little after mine gets put back together. Dumping the 203 has been on the list since I bought mine, and it is finally gonna happen.

As far as I know, it was 50/50 like a normal transfer case, it just had a differential in it. When you put it in Loc it just locked the center diff.

It was last tab in the early 90s. It was stilling in Ellensburg, WA.

T-case trim ring is rusty, and unless I'm just clueless about the earlier trucks, there are two extra screw holes in the trim piece across the roof where the dome light sits.

Are the screws in the trim by the taillights factory?

The frame by the steering box looks like it was rusty and then painted over.

I think someone bought new stickers and painted the thing. 15K miles I'd expect heat to have had some more effect on the underhood stuff.

Since when was a '78 order-able with a 4 speed auto? Loved my 203 but it did hurt mileage. There was/is a 90 or 91 for sale in NY, completely stock with 25k miles on it, really nice, but he wants $25k. I'd do that, but not on a non-stock '78 that, surely, has to have rust lurking??

and a 3.40 gear ? ? ? :screwy: 3.42 maybe . . . . ya I want the .02

My 79 K10 had this. Dead serious. 34 tooth ring and 10 tooth pinion. Rear axle only though. Front axle was 3.42.

Really? Sure don't want to drive on pavement with that engaged lol

Really.

But with "factory all wheel drive" you'd never notice until you locked it into 4 wheel drive. And at that point it would behave just like any other 4 wheel drive on dry pavement.

Says right on the SPID/RPO tag 3.40 ratio, but oddly, it's an "Hxx" RPO. Again, not knowing the older trucks, but for all the light duty trucks/cars, axle codes were "Gxx" that I've seen.
Little searching shows H-coded axle RPO's, most seem associated with trucks, perhaps at one time they differentiated car/truck that way?

no...even for a concours condition it wouldn't fetch that figure. but I guess anything is worth what somebody is willing to pay

GM dealer by us had the last 2002 camaro ss in 2006... 2 miles on it... on showroom floor. I asked how much.. he said.. $1M... he wasnt kidding. I looked at him and said good luck. He said it really isnt for sale but if a rich boy showed up and had to have it, it has a price... he said more people stop to look at it at the dealership, then the sharks start circling
