now i know how i can do this but i need to move my flip way up the frame to get the first shackle flat but am i gonna be able o move the flip up on an angle like that without messing anything else up??all i can see is im gonna loose some lift..anyone

Ahh the old Marv Springer rotator gizmo.

You'll note it's made for a stock shackle mount, and not the flipped variety... so, no, not less you turn your flips around vertically... and why would you?

it can be made for the flipped kert and i have talked about it many, many times..it can be done easily but on my frame the flip would have to go way up the frame unless i was running 64s..mabye 56s but im running 52s...dont ask why not do this or this im just wondering if i can move the flip that far up the frame with no problems

i didnt think it would i just was unsure though...how much lift will i prolly loose..im shooting for 4 total and i have a set of zero rates sitting at home

It looks like the flip would move up 1-2" if you moved it forward, that would lower the truck by .5-1".

that is to get the 1st shackle horisontial??here is what im thinking of doing

1st shackle being the d1y 7 inch shackle,2nd being the diy udsr shackle..gotta make the bump stop for compression and i might need to do something like a strap for droop right??

The lift height should be the least of your worries. You could compensate for that with different shackle lengths and mounting locations, but that is assuming you are not looking for a simple way that just involves bolting a couple of shackles together. I'm not a big fan of that style of suspension anyway, and even the picture of the Springer has more to it than simply two shackles bolted together....same basic concept but has stops for upward travel and such.

If you really want something like that, why not just buy a set of Revolvers (again, I don't like those super-droopy uncontrolled suspensions...but maybe better than slapping other stuff together).

I just wonder what the need is. I've got a regular ole shackle flip, and I'm rolling before I max out the springs. :D

id rather make my own just cause...mabye its easier to buy something but its more gratifing to look back and say "hey i made all that" plus you can add your own twist on it..

i like it cause its diffrent than the same old flip and xx spring that everyone else does...not saying that doesnt work well cause it does just something diffrent...the good thing about it is if i dont like it i can get rid of it and go back to a regular spring
