Mated to a SM465, supposedly out of an '87.

Definitely an NP208. An NP241 has a two piece tail housing.

Not sure what they run down that way, but if you need a 465 and 241, that would get you the right adapter and transmission at least, finding a 32 spline 241 can be done. For $100 I don't think that's a bad deal. Question is, where is the hydraulic bellhousing, that alone in most cases is worth $100!

No bellhousing, no shifter for the tranny and no shift linkage or shifter for t-case.

I'm gonna pass on this one.

I wanted a 4 speed and 205 or 241 w/ slip yoke eliminator for my pickup.

You can get a SYE for the 208 by using a Dodge output.

Not a bad buy for $100. Can use an NP241 from behind a TH400.

I might check it out tomorrow, the thing is I have 2 27 spline 208's that I'm trying to get rid of. They don't seem to be very popular.

I've heard good things about the 241 with the SYE though.

If I can get him down to $50 or $60 I'll take it off his hands.

The issue is finding one. Almost all of the trucks in the junkyard here are 2wd which means I'll have to find one on here or another forum or online which might be pricey + shipping.

I searched forever to find a 208/241 from behind a 465/Th400 to use on my Nv4500 swap. When I did finally find one...I spend $200 and had to drive half way across the state to get it. I would have jump all over a deal like this.

Can you just get any Chevy 241 and buy a 32 spline shaft into it?

Or is it like a 205 with small and large bearings?

You would need a 1989-1991 BLAZER, SUBURBAN or OBS truck NP241 so that it's a passenger drop then yes you can simply swap in a 32 spline input.

If I do end up buing the 4 speed tomorrow I'll just keep my eyes open for a 241 and post up in the forums looking for one.

It wouldn't be going in my truck for at least 6 months since I have another project I'm working on at the time.
