Is this truck worth it

If it was me I wouldn't pay over 16000. It looks like a decent truck but it's only the 6.0l. U could get a Duramax same year model for about that price if u shop around

I patiently waited for a while before I got my Duramax. And I'm glad I waited. Got a great deal on mine

Nice truck. You should be able to get them to come down a little more but thats about the going rate here in MO. Im looking to get and 04/05/06 duramax with 100k +-20k in the next 6-8 months. And im going to do my best not to pay more than 20k!

Duramaxs around me in the asking price range of $20k have almost 200k miles or are just pos trucks all beat up. That truck with a duramax and that low of miles would be $25k plus and they couldnt keep them on the lot for that.

The 6.0s are great motors, we have had several. Its just not a diesel. I wanted a duramax but found an 04 3/4 ton crew cab 4x4 cummins with less than 100k miles, had new front leveling kit, new tires, aftermarket rims, hard bed cover, spray in bed liner, lots more. Gave $18k for it. Sold it last year because I started a new job and was carpooling with the wife, she cant drive a standard so we were always taking her car. The dodge was getting 20-22 mpg but cost over $100 to fill it up and would go through a tank in a week just driving back and forth to work. Her car only cost $50-60 to fill and would last a week also. So the dodge just set, I still had a monthly payment on it and insurance so it just wasnt cost effective for it to be setting. So we sold it. Regret that decision almost everyday since. Towing with a gas vehicle just isnt the same.

Yeah after hauling with a diesel it would be hard to go back to a gas truck, although I did have a 01 Chevy crew cab with the 8.1L and with Hypertech programmer, still had the Allson in it too. That truck had some power, almost had the same pulling power as the diesel, but downfall is the 13 mpg on the highway. On the plus side they are cheaper! Lol. But if u get a Duramax, try to get the LBZ was in 2006 and 2007 trucks. That motor has the injector problems resolved and head gaskets too. Plus they had about 50 more HP than the previous ones. And also the Allison in those Dmaxs have the 6speed with paddle shift.

I personally dont think that truck should go for more then $9000
