Well the only whip this truck does is in and out of the good parking spots at work. It has to be the DD and also the alternate family rig. I still have all the seats, but the 3rd row has a weld problem. No creature comforts any more, but it still runs down the highway straight as an arrow.

My daily driver is a Ford Ranger, much better fuel economy and much more comfortable to ride in than the Blazer, though admittedly the automatic isn't nearly as fun as the 4 speed, and the Ford automatic 4wd can be tempermental. The Ranger does very well in the snow and off road, especially for a stock truck(though it does have good tires on it).

I'd love to drive my Blazer all the time.. but I commute roughly 300 miles a week when I am in school so it's just not feasable. And no way in hell would I drive an S-10.

the only whip I have is used for beating people:D

I do dd my trail truck though. I live right next to school so I walk there and less than 5 miles from work so I dont use much gas. Hopefully by this weekend Ill have a car to share the dd duties. most likely it will be more of a toy then my truck, I dont expect a big block 68 chevelle to be very civil on the street:D

Well mines supposed to be a DD but after I drove it the 10 blocks home I tore it down to replace the 10 bolt rear end that was goin south and the motors freeze plugs... Well Need less to say that was almost 5 months ago.. Its now on 1 tons and 38's with a tbi vortec pushin 350hp, a rebuilt 700r4 since the old didnt have reverse and a np205 twin sticked.. ummm I think I shoulda just bought a empty shell to start with.. Hopefully itll be my dd in a few more weeks...

Mine's somewhere in between. I voted toy but it is used maby twice a month as a "truck" for gravel, dirtbikes, garbage or whatever I need to haul. I try to wheel it about once a month. Around here it's tough to run a real wheeler on the road. Cops can give out orders for inspection. They don't need a reason. A couple of dents or a lift is enough for some of them. An ispection at a shop is around $100 and tough to pass. I have a couple of daily drivers, a little Nissan as a commuter and a Hyundai Tuscon for the family.

I daily drove my '85 until I came out here for college but I will dd it again once I trailer it out...

Mine is a toy now but was DD'ed for years. If I needed to I could DD it when I am in town but as of right now I am working on the road all across the west coast. I drive 5K miles a month or more so DD'ing the K5 isn't an option.

I used to dd my k5 until i did the axle swap and 41s, its a rough ride at 5:00 in the morning. I dd a honda civic 20$ a week in gas WOO HOO.. I recently purchased a 04 dodge 2500 tow rig..

I used to DD my suburban lots of room for tools, but with the swampers on it it's turned into more of a weekend truck. Bought a beater Acura good mpg leave a gang box on the job and move my stuff around with the burb. WTF is a "whip" anyway, somebody please answer that.

hummm my RIG is my daily in the fall winter and some of spring. otherwise its a toy. my summer toy is too nice for winter

i believe a "whip" is some kind of (racial slurr) way of saying car/truck/suv that has been modified or altered in a "bling bling" sort of way.... haha

Yep...it started getting popular to use that term after the retarded show "Unique Whips" came out on Speed channel... Nothing unique about them though, big rims, a body kit and some interior work...whooop de dooo!

2001 to 2006 totally a Daily Driver . Bought a pickup and don't need to DD the Blazer anymore .

She will start right up and drive anywhere though , dents and all in Air Conditioned comfort :pimp:

I'd like the see the OP's Blazer. Probably has 20" rims on it and neon underglow. Poor Blazer. :(

Hey pic whore is that some photoshop skillz or is it just the reflection from the grass? ;)

No love for the somewhere between toy and DD crowd?

Up until the other week when I sold the 36" tires and wheels I had to help finance the 38's (that I REALLY hope fit:D:rolleyes:) I drove it once a week to work just to keep everything moving and also often on weekends when I needed to haul something.
As soon as I get the tires and make them fit it'll be the same until the snow comes. Then it's hybernation/winter projects time. Road salt iz da debil!

My DD is a lifted '96 Geo Tracker on 31's. 21mpg, costs about $25 to fill it up every week, goes everywhere and parking is a dream!

Not a DD. For the last 5 years, the rear driveshaft wobbled so bad you couldn't take it over 50 mph. And it wasn't even damaged, just no CV.

I'm surprised Craig hasn't already photoshopped the "pimp my ride" banner on Page one.
