When you pull your rig out of the barn in the spring, it starts on the first crank and goes down the road nice?

I was pretty surprised when my 85 diesel Suburban started right up after sitting completely buried under a huge snowdrift since January until the middle of March, when I tried firing it up last week...

I did have to jump the glow plug relay to get them to come on,(solenoid plunger must be rusty)--and I only had one battery, but it didn't spin more than 5-6 turns before it started!...also the fuel in it is over 6 years old,and its only got about 1/8 of a tank,so I'm betting there is some water in it from condensation..usually I had to crank the piss out of that old 6.2 to get it to run, even on a warm day..it was only 50 degrees the day I started it..

Amen. Here in CA we have two seasons, and the cold[er] one stopped a while back. It's summer now and will be until Halloween or so. :haha:

We had two this year? :dunno: I must've slept through the 'colder' one.

Mine started first crank.. It just didn't go down the road. Gotta fix my power steering leak first. And storing rigs in the barn is nice isn't it

What is this spring you speak of.

It's when the groundhog comes out of the closet, sees his reflection in the mirror and shouts "gadzooks" before running back underground giving us 4 more years of a Demodouche president.

I think, or so the internet told me

Here, it's when you leave for work at 32 degrees and get home at 70 degrees. And the radio says something like "record low for this day was -20 degrees and record high was 80" :haha:

Just got my Camaro out of storage. I gotta say it sounded pretty awesome roaring back to life!

Nailed it. It seems so hot out, and yet I'm still scraping frost regularly. :screwy:

I, too, was happy when I went out and fired up my diesel Suburban after its 6-month nap. 25 degrees or so, and it fired up under its own power (without even having the benefit of a charged battery). I was happy.

Then, 2 weeks ago, I woke up Big Blue from his winter nap. Again, fired right up under his own power and made for a happy dance.

Then I tried out the Blazer (non-op for the present). This one required some battery charging, but it also fired up pretty well (and it's been sitting for multiple years).

So this spring has been a happy time, truck-wise. :)

My K5 did sit outside for 3 winters and honestly they don't mind it too much. A couple feet of snow protects it from UV and it just kind of hibernates there.

Go kart? More like a rocket ship! burnout

After a week driving a motorhome, it almost seems impossible for a vehicle to handle as well or be as fast as my little W-bodies. I feel just like this guy:
