Ok well I still have a problem. Truck runs like it has a big can in it. Runs rough until u tap gas then seems fine. Its getting gas but not sure if to much or not enough. But runs fine when foot is light on the gas. No engine light it has died from this looping but never gives me a light. Could there be water in the fuel? It did sit all winter not started. I'm confused. Please help.

It could be water--take a fuel sample and see if its cloudy or has a layer of water in it...ethanol absorbs water so it makes it harder to see it,it wont form a layer at the bottom like it did in the old gas without it,it disperses it and lets it mix with the gas...

You may have a ruptured diaphram in the fuel pressure regulator, when they fail it lets too much pressure flood the injectors, and the engine will load up at idle and stall, foul the spark plugs and waste fuel...it doesn't always set off the check engine light also..

Any of you guys around Akron Ohio area? I need help or I will just have to take it to wirewizards out here.....anybody know where I could get a new wiring harness?

What kind of motor?

That could be a thousand simple things if it's electronically controlled. IAC, TPS, MAP/MAF, Cam Sensor...

350 no engine light at all......i put dry gas in still same put new iac in yesterday

Not displacement...
TBI?
TPI?
newer MPFI?

Did you reset the IAC properly when you installed it? You usually have to rock the pintle back to baseline, then roll the key over and wait a few before you start it.

Check the TPS with a voltmeter, really easy. I've had the weirdest issues with a wonky TPS installed on my Camaro.

Whether you get a light or not, I'd make it flash the codes out. You never know, I've had it spit codes at me when I never saw a light (and I'm an EAGLE EYE on that light!)

o sorry tbi yeah less than 5000 miles ago but been sitting for 6 months checked for codes just 13 all normal

egr not that old or many miles on it almost all electronics on engine are new minus throttle position sensor

Just curious, have you driven it yet?

If it hasn't been driven all winter, and the battery died/was weak for awhile... A rough idle is totally normal until the computer relearns the fuel curve. It will usually take 15-20 minutes of driving after a couple cold starts to get rid of it.

Check that TPS and make sure it is baselined correctly (Mine has to be set at .54 volts closed throttle or it acts funny). Make sure you operate it with the voltmeter hooked up to see if you get a SMOOTH sweep as it goes to full throttle, and to make sure the voltage at full throttle is correct.

Check fuel pressure also, symptoms like this you might be getting low pressure. Pump might be on it's way out, clogged filter, or a bad FPR.

It could be a cheap/bad O2 sensor or slight leak upstream of it also, I've seen this quite a bit.

Saying "its new its not broke" wont narrow anything down... lol. I've seen PLENTY of new stuff go bad quickly... Actually, a lot more than the old OEM stuff to tell you the truth! Good luck!

Sorry man, all the way out in Cali.

Did you figure anything out? You just need a little process of elimination, that problem will rear it's head if you stay methodical and don't skip stuff.
