I hates you...

...does look good though. The tan works well with the paint.

i LOVE that look. :waytogo:
Thanks. To me it has a traditional 4wd look. Like an old Land Rover er sumthin
1) can you fly? lol, got some overhead pics there

2) you have a few chevys :)
1) No,but I can climb! I climbed up on the Suburban, the tool box on my '72,and that rack of scaffold boards.

2) Been thinnin' the heard. I still have a couple to go. This Jimmy actually replaces my beloved '90 Blazer I bought new and had to sell a few years ago. But,I'm sticking with the '72 K2500,'85 Jimmy,'92 K3500 (work truck),and little old '67 GMC shortbed 2wd hot rod (project)
Very nice fit!!!
It takes two to get the rear most snaps. I weight 175 and had to give it all I had while my girlfriend did the snappin' (and spme pullin')

Don't hate my cuz I'm beautiful. The stars aligned and the money for a top came to me (and a fortune cookie said to go ahead and do it)
Nice color combo, looks good.
Thanks,I had a vision. Before I had to sell my '90 I wanted to swap the 'Burb stuff onto it. That one was a 4spd. I've had many pipe dreams for this running gear and it ended up under this.
I'm digging it. Looks great. Sweet rig.
I'd like to do more...bumpers,winch,roll cage,mo' traction...but it's a decent mall cruiser as it is. Who knows, maybe I'll get the tires dirty.
DAAAAMMMM!!! That looks killer! Well done.
I've had a tough time with money due to divorce, recession, the hole she dug before she left...I'm stoked to have gotten something together like this. I bought the Jimmy last summer by scraping up payments I had arranged with the seller. The drivetrain just needed swapping from my dead (since 6/06) Suburban. I sold off enough junk at the Spring Carlisle (PA) swap meet to order the top. And,here it is.
Sick! What is the paint? Looks like krylon khaki to me?
It's the original paint with 26 years of age on it...Doeskin Tan w/Buckskin interior. See the dealer sticker on the tailgate? It's funny cuz I always wanted to do a military tan paint job on the Suburban. Now I have it's little brother. I think, because of the color and the way it was optioned, this Jimmy was ordered for a neighboring county's park service, then not taken. It's basic but with a/c and power windows. It also has a plug on the cowl where an extra antenna would be mounted and holes on the dash where a mic was mounted. I got it from the original owner,a farmer. I'd taken notice of it through the years. I saw an old guy with the hood up on his Duramax and stopped to help. That's how it all came about. It was just sitting, not for sale, and I made him an offer.

Every time I wave off on getting a soft top, one of you guys posts up another soft top pic series and makes me regret spending my fun money on something else. So cruel.

Nice top though :waytogo:

Thats crazy:woot:

Makes me want a soft top for ours now as well:bow:

That is an awesome look. Lovin' it.

If I could find a clean blazer again....

I'm thinking grey when I get mine. Keep it from absorbing as much heat yet not as prone to show dirt as white. Also might contrast nicely with the blue I'm thinking I'll repaint mine.

I had a vision of a tan soft top on this thing all along. I had a '90 Blazer that was Red with black top and mirrors. I powder coated vent shades gloss black. I had ordered a black top from STC and got burned out of my money. The kept giving excuses about waiting for this piece and that till I asked for my money back. One day I called to bug them and the phone was disconnected. So,finally I get another K/5 and finally have a soft top. Here's a few pics since I have it moving now and another, just for kicks,of my '71 w/Bestop back in the '80s:
