I was hoping it wasn't going to be a picture of you standing in front of a toilet and saying that.......:haha:

Only break in oil I could find was Comp Cams, figure they make a good product, so they SHOULD know break in oil for said product. Woulda started tonight, but it was late. 0800 tomorrow morning.

Did you not read my post in your other thread? Valvoline VR1 racing oil has more than enough zinc in it still and is about the only oil left that HAS NOT removed it.

Did you not read my post  I even wrote down everyone's suggestions and took it in with me to O'rileys, they didn't have crap. My choices were regular oil (didn't have the VR1) and this one brand of break-in oil. Trying to read up on some MSDS, but everyones seems to be in a different format.

Well how the hell would I know you wrote down my suggestion since you never replied or said anything about my reply? I'll just consider this my last post on ANY of your threads.

Holy crap gone for a day and this thread is FULL of the crazy. Ya I'm not going to reply to 20 different suggestions of oil, that's kinda redundant. This is a forum, I ask for suggestions, get them, I wrote them down, went shopping, didn't find ANY of them, and replied back; 'hey this is what happend'. As far as only going to O'rileys, my other choice is autozone. Time is of the essence, which is why I bought a $2400 engine from a dealer instead of a $2000 engine from an online source and had it shipped, truck has to be up and running ASAP. I'm borrowing cars to do this shopping cause the Jimmy's my only one. I'm not always able to drive around for a few hours going from store to store. I'm lucky at all my only choice wasn't a gas station.

Now this is just bonkers, won't know until I have a chance to reply, or ya ask 'hey, what happened to my suggestion' and I will say 'hey, I wrote it down, they didn't have it'. And as far as you not repsponding on my posts because of this? I have no words.

I'm new here, but to get chewd on cause I didn't reply in an orderly and expedited fashion is a bit crazy. I didn't flame, I'm not trolling, I DONT TLK LIEK THIS, or any of the other crazy douchey stereotypical 'stupid forum noobs'. Being one of the resident FNGs I realize I'm not terribly important, but I have kinda grown to liking this place, and I don't see this happening here which is why I chose CK5. You guys refered to Pirate, I can only imagine, I know exactly how that is. I don't want it, no one else does so I mean... I know a lot of you guys are kidding but I'm still like WTF

Sorry, done ranting. Had a looooooooong day with the Jimmy, and no one has an oil filter adapter on hand, won't till monday, and the cause of my frustration.

Crazy aside, back to the motor. It's out, going back to the shop to play with it some more. Should be in and running today. Would of finished yesterday but I'm a horrible 'might as well'er. Only problem now is do I just hook the oil cooler back up so it runs even though it has a slight leak, I can't figure out a good way to bypass the lines, not sure how it works so I don't want to plug it, if the oil will bypass the cooler and just filter the oil, or does it NEED and can only go through the cooler lines. Don't think some hose and hose clamps will make a temporary bypass, I mean how much psi could hose clamps take? If it'll work I'll just run that for a few days/weeks till my break in is over and do my first oil chanage then change out the adapter to a normal one.

If you don't care about a little oil mess then run it...

Could be easier to fix it right now while you've got the engine out... plus as your last posted stated, you are a "might as well'er" so it sounds like you may never get back to it if you don't do it now?
