It\'s a Shackle flip thing

i dont understand... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif tell me, anyone with a shackle flip/reversal, did you lose any towing ability or daily driveability? does it like to hop or squat when you hammer down?? thanks guys!

Re: It\'s a Shackle flip thing

I dont know about towing, but it makes everyday driving alot more pleasant if you compare to lift springs!
No squatting when accelerating, but ofcourse, my truck isnt that fast either though.

Re: It\'s a Shackle flip thing

I have the ORD flip and had absolutely no problem pulling 8k pounds of 30 foot enclosed car trailer 6 hours each way...

Re: It\'s a Shackle flip thing

I think mine feels softer and flexes better after the flip.Have'nt noticed any hop such either. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

right now i've got 2.5" springs front and rear, later i'm going to go with 6" springs up front and use my rear 2.5" springs with the 4" shackle flip. just my .02.

now.. another question... 2.5" shackle reversal with 5" springs or 4" reversale with 3" springs?

use the most shack flip you can. The benefit of the shackle flip is that u get lift with springs that arent super-arched (and thus are more flexy). Doesnt make any sense to use a 2.5" shack flip unless 2.5" of lift is all u want. If you want 4" or more, get the 4" flip (or the 5.5 echobit one!).
