Got bored tonight so I put a new battery in the '85 K30, poured some gas down the carb and in the tank, then proceeded to fire it up. It did just that. Little bit of a rough idle, think its missing out so gonna tune it up this weekend.

Felt great getting that thing running again. Its been about 2 years, or more, since it last ran because the forward gears in the tranny quit. Next on the agenda for the K30 is to drop the tranny and get it rebuilt.

Can't wait to drive it once again! :deal:

after 2 years youre gona have to burn the cobwebs out anyway.get it cleaned up put that rebuilt tranny in and remember the good times and start some new ones.:wink1:

that sounds good Wes....maybe check your brakes too, maybe do the diff oil changes also. Sounds like funnernhell is about to happen once again.

I know the brakes are fine. Just before the truck went into "hibernation", I installed a new MC/HB system and bled all the old dark fluid out so clear shot out of the valves. Truck stops on a dime now.

But as you said, I will change all the fluids in everything else once the tranny gets rebuilt and I confirm its working properly. Take it around town for a while and then bring it back in for the full tuneup/oil changes, etc.

come on Wes, get organized.....you can get another truck in there somewhere....:haha:

Lets just say my clutter is enough to make me park my daily ride outside all winter....Once I get the body back on, I should be able to get it inside again.

If you notice the "empty" bay where the tires were, I just took out a '73 F350 today to sell. That freed up much needed space. I'm waiting on u-bolt plates from Kert to fasten the Highboy u-bolts up so I can start moving the trucks around to make more room. The plates are the only thing holding me back right now.

dude! i am so jelious. look at all that cool stuff you have! how many trucks do you own?

same exact colors as my pickup once was! I like it!

All that in the shop, a '91 K5 sitting outside in the street and the daily driver, a '98 Jimmy.

No more for me now. I want to get the Highboy and the dually K30 done and play with those. I may build one more truck, a '57 like ORU's Big Bird, and call it done. I need to shift my focus to retirement and life after retiring from work.

Sucks getting old. :doah:

Yep, I remember bugging you about it several years back. :D I thought it was great seeing another truck like mine on here.
