!!! IT\'S ALIVE !!!! - Photos now available for viewing...

OK I just posted a bunch more photos of the system....check them out at:

http://community.webshots.com/user/gblanchette72

There are some new photos at the end of Photo album Part 2, and Album 3 is all new.....

It shows the in-progress stuff pretty well, but I still need to take some final shots of everything all cleaned up and put together in their final state. You'll definitely get the 'flavor' from these however.

Enjoy!

LKJR,

I don't have any drawings for the boxes, but you should be able to get started by viewing the early photos in the album....I think there was one with an "exploded view" of the box before I glued it all together. There are SO many little details that couldn't possibly be decribed, it's really better to just sort of dive in and start taking measurements of your truck and go from there.

A key thing to remember is that this box design only has about .90 cubic feet of space inside. For my 10" subs that was barely enough, and I had to build the port on the OUTSIDE of the cabinets to keep from losing even more cabinet volume. That added a LOT of work for me, but I was really trying to keep the cabinets as small and hidden as possible. If you are willing to have them stick out a little farther, or if you have a singlewall top and don't need access to the boltholes in the bedrail like I do (I have a doublewall top) then you can go about 2" inches taller than I did.

Build it out of cardboard first.....make sure that you can physically get it into the space you want to use. Having a rollcage will make this a LOT harder unless you are willing to remove the cage before installing the cabinets.

Thanks greg, it will probably be quite a while before I get subs or a cage under my dbl wall top but I'm very thankful you took such good records of your install

and again nice job

Looks sweet Greg. Can't wait to see/hear it at Blazer-Fest next year.
