I hope we haven't missed your calls.

Starting a week ago, we began prepping the shop for a new piece of equipment that we sorely needed.

This has kicked off a makeover process in the shop that I have been planning for a long time. When its all said and done, just about every dept. will have been moved and streamlined. I expect a 1.5 hour minimum time savings every day. That's 390 hours a year we'll be able to put back into production! That's pretty huge.

Of course this gives us an opportunity to paint and clean everything really well again. We've also been making some small repairs along the way as well.

Definitely looking forward to getting things settled back in though. Of course also be looking forward to bringing some products to market that we were previously unable to produce in house.

Tomorrow the new piece of equipment will be delivered about 9:00 a.m. We'll be there late into the evening again. On the forklifts most of the day. I'll have a phone on my belt so don't hesitate to call.

I bet it's another cnc mill or lathe.

tho a CNC brings the badarse, I'm gonna go on a limb and guess water jet table.... I'm actually thinking that would be more beneficial to speeding up production on Kert's line of products than a CNC....

Give me a chance to get a few items rolling out of it and I"ll post up a video.

Thursday night we worked till 2a.m. Friday night we added an hour and Last night I didn't get home till 4:30 in the morning. Of course we have to be back to full production strength Monday morning.

All that is left is to wire up two machines and some clean up.

All told, every piece of equipment save the plasma tables have been moved. We went through nearly 20 gallons of paint.

Really happy with the way things are going. We created alot of space and lot of conenient motion. Should speed things up quite a bit.

What is it? A taping machine to get the boxes taped up faster and out the door? :D

dont take this the wrong way kert . . . .

was it a new toilet paper dispensor ? :haha:

That's funny stuff right there!! Not a taping machine either. In due time guys, in due time!

It's going to be anti-climactic now... I bet it's a new coffee machine for the break room. :)

I'll tell you this much, we didn't move every machine in the shop for a coffee maker or a toilet paper dispenser.

Considering some of the machines in the shop we don't even try to move ourselves, we hire it done. 10,000 lbs. plus just aint worth the headache.

One of the worst feelings I've ever had was watching two forklifts drop a new to us 15' long lathe straight on it's face through the asphalt. I seriously felt sick to my stomach so I hear ya' on hiring it out!

Trust me, it's worse when you are driving the forklift:doah::doah:
