I'd like to trade you in for Tim. At least he had something to contribute once in a while.
My 305 (315) makes more torque at 2500 than a stock 305 peaks at. It has a better torque curve than a LS9 350 from the 70s. The problem with 305s is the heads. You have to pick a cam that'll get enough air in the cylinders.
beater_k20 said:could that be because your wheel speeds are higher, since you're only turning your driveshaft 3.42 times per tire revolution as he is turning 4.10 times? nah, of course not! we all know wheel speed makes you go slower.![]()
Dude, you need to tell your Mom to give you Ginkoba in the morning instead of that tall glass of stupid.
We both run 700R4/NP208s. We both run half ton axles and 33s. His truck is a shortbox and weighs 400lbs less than mine. He has 4.10 gears and I have 3.42 gears. He should ALWAYS beat me. He has better gears for a drag and he's got less weight (better lb/hp). He also has a higher stall torque converter but that doesn't really matter unless it's from a dig. He's even running a Holley and a MSD ignition... I'm running a Quadrajunk and stock HEI.
