Don't know why, I keep failing smog, the heat or what. I have some sweet tires to put on, but need to weld up some pinholes. Need to weld up the exhaust( thanks Iceman). I have a pile of parts to install but I have no motivation right now. I know it won't last long but crap.

First priority is exhaust and smog. Then tires and some kind of lining in the rear. I pulled all the carpet and padding. Mount the spare and all the other crap back there. Then I have a pile of other stuff for it.

Tired of looking at this with the stupid tires.

The exhaust needs to go on.

Then all this stuff in the back. Plus the 42" spare.

Then the tires. Need to weld and groove them.

I know it's not a lot, but I need to get this done.

So now I will go clean the workbench and clean up the garage.

Ok, well, after this beer.

I hear ya. It's always feaking something. My burb sits while I work for free and others cars get worked on

That first pic should be reason enough to have motivation. That's pathetic. In fact, it makes me want to come over and work on it for you. :p:
Maybe you just need to take a break from it for a couple weeks and do another project so you don't get burned out on it.

Ha ha! I agree 1000%. I have been putting on the back burner for awhile. Lots of projects around the house. Sprinklers are killing me, pool is a pain to maintain. And the dishwasher broke and it won't come out. I need to remove tiles.

The problem is, out of all those things, I only really care about the Suburban. Just this little venting is helping a ton.

Thanks fellas!

Once mine was back on the road I lost interest in wrenching on it. All I wanted to do was drive the damn thing. Now when I get to Ohio, hopefully it will be waiting for me and I have a couple things to catch up with while we're there.

And beat the piss out of it for two weeks:D

I will happily take those "stupid looking wheels/tires" from you! Every time I drive on pavement I feel pennies falling out of my pocket, riding on my BFG's. I want a set of cheapo rims and tires for daily driving, and to save the BFG's for when I really need them.

PS: That Burb is too DAYUM SWEET to just let go man! I LOVE it! one of my faves, AND it is Red :-P Take a break, think of the next awesome thing you want to get done! after she is all put back together. Perhaps plan an event which will double as a completion date! You know that truck turns heads, and with the rest of those mods heads will SPIN! Keep with it brother!

Thanks bud! Next time your up this way, you can have this set of tires and wheels. I bought them for $60.00 on Craigslist.

Oh man, been there, done all that. Just got through ordering a new set of grids for the DE filter, but the dishwasher and sprinklers are doing fine right now.
Rainbird PAWs are great if you know about the special wrench.

Anything I can help with? Just as a thought, open the door on the dishwasher and look up under the edge of the counter for a couple of screws if its a built-in.

I keep looking on craigslist but NEVER find any local or for a fair price LOL. especially 8 lugs. Hmm......SBDO to Bakersfield? Only 165 miles! I should be able to do that in 3 tanks of gas HAHAH!

I am with ya Jeff, my deck is not really that expensive but I keep on thinking what I could buy with it if I didn't have to do the deck.

Take a break man forget about it for a couple days, your motivation will come back

I'm feeling pretty unmotivated this week also :doah:

i guess ill jump in with my list LOL YEP! Sprinklers here too! 3 of them in the front yard!(last time i hire someone to mow my lawn) My office needs flooring and a severe clean up, need floor molding in the bedroom as well as paint the list goes on hahaha! only thing I AM Motivated to do is Mess with the Suburban. Go figure!

im the same way right now. i have **** to do, just no motivation to do it. i think, for me, its the fact that its 105*+ outside.

It comes and goes for me. Right now I would love to have Krusty stripped to the frame, instead my Camaro is sitting in the garage still minus a front bumper. Since I can't get that one out my motivation to do anything vehicle related is gone. It will come back, it will just take time. Just need to take a break every once in a while.

Quit your bitchin jeff and go work on your burb.... (hows that for some motivation) :thumb:

Well, This thread is helping a lot! Thanks!

The counter is slate. The floor is marble tiles. Ive chipped the under side of the counter to make some room, but it wont come out. I need to take out a few tiles. Hopefully i can find some place that has something close to match. The pump went out on the dishwasher and need to pull it out to fix it. Its a stainless Bosch dishwasher. The part is not made anymore, so I tried demolishing the washer where it is now hoping it would be easier ti get out. No luck.
Time to remove tile on the floor. Wife is tired of doing dishes by hand.

Thanks guys!!!

Being that it's slate there's probably a plywood sub-deck. Not much you can do if that is the case. If there is not a sub-deck, you can probably lift up the front of the countertop by using some shims. This all depending on the configuration of the kitchen lay out.

Generally all of the countertops are held on with dollops of silicone. If you can break the seal between the top of your lower and the bottom of the countertop, it will work. A five in one tool works good for this.

We need to do this at least three times a week with water damaged lowers. The insurance company's will pay for the new lowers, but like to detach and reset the tops if possible. Two days ago, we saved a huge "L" shaped Corian top for State Farm. It can be done, not always, but sometimes.

Good luck.
