JB welded spring plates?!

I have JB weld on the side of ny Toyota block..... Been there for 14 years. That **** works, but for stock tabs, he has got to be full of it.

There is so much win in this thread...:haha:

I might build some link mounts out of JB Weld tomorrow...:D

If I have some time, I'll start on a crossover steering arm...:woot:

Shoulda bi*** slapped him right there and called johnny law before somebody (most likely an innocent bi-stander) gets killed. I wouldnt have worried about how much it may have insulted him, he deserves it and you shoulda stole his keys too lol :D

With as many junk parts as people have lying around might be a fun project to try. JB weld it up then see how hard it is to break. It's not something I would do on my truck. But if I had an old junky truck to try it on it might be fun. Assuming it was never driven on a public road.

Can we pleeeeease just let natural selection take it's course...

You SHOULD HAVE asked him to go wheeling!
Shame on you....

I'm callin' B/S on this whole thread......

ain't no way J/B weld is going to keep a rear axle from turning in the spring saddles under torque or braking.......I don't care how tight the ubolts are......

And shock mounts....... come on.... be real.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

J/B weld is nothing more than epoxy with a little metal dust mixed in.....

maybe he put J/B weld over his ****ty welds so no one would see them....:haha:

I bet thats what he did, put it over ****ty ass welds

Maybe you misunderstood.....

Maybe his freind "JB" welded it... :haha:

:haha::haha::haha:

Probably the case.

Seriously though, I can't imagine anybody doing that for real... JB Weld is neat stuff, and certainly has it's place, but as has been mentioned, it's just epoxy. Probably burned a hole in the axle tube welding and covered it with JB Weld...

There was definantly a large amount of jb weld in and around the spring plates and flowing down the axle, I didn't get a look at the shock tabs, but I think jb could hold a shock tab on, depending on how worn out/soft they are.

Maybe he is frineds with Justin Bieber and he welded it....
I pictured J.B. Mauney... :haha:

I'm subscribing. Now I wish I had the time to JB weld some spring plates on my old 12 bolt and see if it holds
