I've got jeep leaf springs on the front of my 85 k10 but they are from a full size pickup. Same length as Chevy front springs but they move the front axle forward like 1-1.5" and they ride pretty smooth.
I also used yj rear springs on the front of my scout but it's a bit different than a full size truck. Also used an xj steering shaft.
