What I meant was that the weld there looks like a series of continuous one on top of each other tack welds. Alot of people do it to give that "tig" welding look but it leads to cold joints that will pull apart rather easily.

I was wondering the same thing. I have dubbed it poison welding (PBB thread on Poison spyder customs). It might be a loose dime stack weld and if it is (wich I doubt) the loops should be overlaping with no pin hole in the base. Pleas explain the technique you are useing to get those welds.
basically weld it hot bead then let it cool a sec then hit again. I use that process mostly for filling in gaps if need be cause you can build it up then let it cool so it doesn't blow through. I also do that sometimes overhead if its being a pain. Everything else I try to weld in basically a 2 steps forward one step back method
