JEGS Lightweight Recirculating Catch Cans

Ok, now I have to admit to a total brain fart. That is the one I had in the Jimmy. Until 3 years ago. Needed something cool for my moms 34 Chevy I was building. Pulled that out of the Jimmy. Bracket was broke and I had to TIG weld it back together. The abuse was too much. But I really abuse my truck. I now have the plastic one. Maybe I should check it.

my brainfart is even bigger... :pimp: I wasn't even running that, now I remember I was running a converted summit vacuum canister for a rad overflow.. works awesome! :haha:

my plastic one doesn't like me anymore so im going to beat it with a bat....

Mine is kind of useless. The truck runs at 180 degrees no matter what I do. Never has used the can. But the "EPA" says I have to have it to wheel on public lands.

Stupid questions, these are being used as a replacement for the stock overflow, correct?

If so, they are all vented somehow, also correct?

I've been looking at these to replace the stock piece in case something ever happens to it, and have been curious if they are all essentially the same thing (they don't contain pressure) as stock.

Just a storage tank. If it pukes out more than the capacity of the jug, it will go onto the ground. Basically open on both ends.

Ok, for our trucks if you mount one with fittings on both ends "vertical", you'd run the radiator overflow hose to the bottom fitting, and leave the top one open or at least vented with some sort of filter?
