As usual my Jimmy project is behind schedule, but I WILL have it ready for ECBB.
This weekend I started the cage,I got the back done but still need to finish the front half.
I painted the body with Zolatone paint. This stuff is is great ,it's a real durable textured paint.
I'm getting my 6.2 heads back from the machine shop this week and should have the engine in this weekend.
My Stazworks beadlocks will be here on Thursday and I can finially mount my 39.5 IROCKS.
List of stuff I still need to do:
Make tube bumpers
Make cross member and skid plate
Finish hood and grill
Run brake lines with turning brake
Fab or buy a MOO anti wrap for the rear
Install F&R detroits and new gears
Buy and install PRP suspension seats
Run diamond plate on F&R corner panels next to doors
etc,etc,etc...................
I'm sure I'll be working some late nights to get it all done
Here's some pics

Dude that thing looks SWEET!! :)
I really like your cage but is there a interior cage??
Is that bedliner on everything???

Thanks I have alot of time in those doors.
I still need to complete the front half of the cage.I built and painted the rear half on my drive way then bolted it in.
The paint is Zolatone,Its simmilar to spray on bedliner except its not as rough.
It's hard to see in the pictures but the body is back and grey fleck color.
I'm going to paint the floor boards and aluminum storage box with a black on black fleck color.

I want those skull shifters. I'd do a manual swap just to have it in my truck.

LOL, my cage is very similar to Steve Fox's cage. See a trend here?

Truck looks great though...you've really made a lot of progress in a very short amount of time! :waytogo:

The door's look great, but those shifter skulls are bad ass.. Where did you get them?

I got the skulls on the triple shifter from JC Whitney. They were chrome with red eyes and I painted them .I don't want anything chrome on my truck.

The trans shifter I got on ebay. It's real detailed, has cracks in skull and eyeballs.

I'm kinda going with a skull theme on my truck.
Here is a CAD drawing of my 17 inch double lock wheels from Stazworks with a skull rock ring

Yeah, those doors really look awesome!!!

I have a question though: Why did you paint over the checkerplate on the bottom of the doors?

I painted the diamond plate the same as the body for now so it wouldn't rust.

I still need to run the diamond plate out from the door on the front and rear corner panels to the wheel wells.I need to get my wheels mounted so I make sure I dont have any clearance issues first.
I may paint DP with the black on black textured paint that I am painting the floor boards with to set it apart from the body.
Either way I'm sure it won't take to long to scratch the s**t out of it:D :D

awesome truck i have a skull shifter on my t-case too!! haha i love the bedlined look, amazing cage and doors also. question though how much was the zolatone stuff?

The Zolatone primer and paint is about $25 a quart.
It took 2 quarts of primer and 2 quarts of paint to do my body and cage, minus the hood.
This stuff was easy to spray and hides imperfections very well.
I'm planning on painting my wheels with it also.
I think I'm going to paint my surburban their Jungle Camo color.

I am looking forward to seeing this thing in Tellico. Looking really good.

I finially got my beadlocks, they were about a month last but well worth the wait.I painted them with rust-oleum hammered paint.I figured I'm going to scratch the s**t out of them anyways and they will be easy to touch up .
I may have time to mount them tommorrow,if not I'll have to wait till Monday because I'm going to Nashville this weekend. When I get back I need to go balls to the wall to get my truck done for ECCB.I probally won't have much time to test it ,so it looks like Tellico will be my testing run.
