Well it looked better in pictures , awesome interior , needed paint , almost looks like someone touched up the sides with a rattle can .

On to a few more to look at :thumb:

If you want I have one good enough for a start.
It will need an engine, it's a diesel but I am keeping the engine for parts, does not run.
It's a 85 3/4 ton 14bSF and 10 bolt front, with 700 R4 and 208.
It is really clean inside with the silverado package, 3 row seating dual AC, tailgate.
The headliner is falling that is it.
Outside there is some surface rust at the edge of the roof in the front, ahead of the moon roof.
I'll give it to you for $1500 minus engine. I can even sell you a gasoline engine for it for cheap, maybe a sbc 400 or a 454bbc
:D Let me know

Nice offer , but too much work . We do kind of need a runner . Our car is about to go to the body shop for insurance work after our hit and run ( we were victim ) .

She isn't driving the locked Blazer :thumb:

Well then there is a nice 91, 1/2 ton I think it's barn doors, $3500.
I can grab some pics today for you if interested.
It's clean, it's my old neighbours'

Out of curiosity , send some pics to me here or at my posting up email , pauly383 at cox dot net :thumb:

We did go look at some tonight , and almost bought a 96 5.7 extra cab pickup on the spot instead , but needs the brakes bled , and the mechanic went home so wifey couldn't drive it .

I may be alone on this, but i say make sure to get a 3/4 ton. The burb is a heavy beast, and our 96 1/2 ton burb ate a 4l60e at 60k. I think the burb weight is just too much abuse for the 1/2 ton drive train (trans/xcase/10bolt).

If your getting a 91 or older, you can find 3/4's with a 350 really easy. Just my 0.02, but with so many ppl buying 1/2's and swapping drive trains, why not just skip that step and buy a 3/4?

Good luck wiht your search!

There is a 91 3/4 ton for sale in Reno here on CK5, sounds to be real clean. They pop up pretty often on Craigslist down here too. I wouldn't let the 1/2 ton scare you, they get better mileage, and will hold up fine for a DD. The trans is a weak point if not used correctly.

nice! the 91 3/4 with the auto gets the 4l80e, first year!

Mainly want clean . I can add an 8 lug axle , or 14sf with disk kit added anytime :D

As for the tranny , if it dies , I will just get it rebuilt better , I mean ( knock on wood ) the p/o of my Blazer had the 700r4 rebuilt and I have tried to kill it numerous times from highway gears with tall tires , to many roadtrips on mountain roads . I ain't worried about it .

Interior and Body are the only things that matter , and cost the most to fix :D

It came down as LAW from wifey .........We ARE TO FIND a fuel injected extra cab CHEVY . So No Subs , sorry :(

But I get a truck , and she prefers something a little higher if possible :pimp:

bummer no sub.

Your wife knows what fuel injection is? Awesome, more power to her!

I remind her thats one of the reasons she doesn't get to drive my Blazer , she has never owned/driven ( aside fom once in my hood ) a carbed vehicle at all :D

haha, cause driving a carb'd vehicle is so much more difficult.....you make it sound like its like driving a stick vs an auto :)

She can't drive stick either LOL

Its just a tactic I use to keep her out of my truck . I don't want her to have to figure out what to do when she slams on the brakes , at the time she slams on the brakes :eek1:

Besides , I am selfish , and its MY truck :wink1:

Oh i know it was just a stratagy, im just giving you a hard time. No one got to drive/borrow my blazer cause of the "slipping trans" which i drove for 75000 miles. Who knows what my excuse will be with the burb if i get it.....

Things change , opportunites happen .

My Dads TV station , KWBA TV in Tucson has bought a new smaller truck . They do no remotes , just a vehicle to go to the transmitter site on a basically easy mountain road . They are not in need of their Vortec Suburban anymore .

Pretty clean with a straight body . A little elbow grease and the AZ pinstripes come off .

Don't know if I will part it , sell it , or use it yet . Up to wifey , and whoever offers me enough money after I yank the Silverado grille and quad lights off for my Cheyenne .

My Dad got them to take six bills . So its a bargain . Motor has less than 20,000 on it since rebuild . Transfercase or something is out they say . I think it may be the gov loc , but I will see .

Either way , if I have to put some money into it . I could still sell it for profit . These things go for thousands , right ? Or I could SFA it and have a pretty truck again . Or I could sell it to 4xcrazy , if he could come up with money , he only wants to pay what I paid though . He wants it , but the wife and I aren't so sure we won't keep it . I kinda like the idea of a later model truck with A/C and room . It sucks being a friend sometime :thumb:
