Hi my name is JR. I have owned my 72 for 8 years now. It has gone thruogh some changes. I just installed a 6.0 liter off a 04 Cadillac Esca. Here are some pics.

nice. what tranny? Custom headers or do they make ones that work good for that?
 
MNorby Tranny is a 700R4..... Headers a custom my brother maide them for me.

Cool. Check out the Pacific region and look up all the SOCKO (Southern California K Owners group. We do a lot of wheeling trips in So Cal. A bunch of real nice guys here on CK5. We have a Panamint trip scheduled for mid-Oct.

I just upgraded to a Dana 60 front axle. It was all fine till I got to the brake lines. The banjo bolt from the 1/2 ton caliper is bigger than the one on the 1 ton caliper. If I buy the brake line for a 1ton will it bolt on to the line that is on the frame?
 
I just drilled my brake lines out larger when I first did it and ran it fine for quite a while till I got better lines
 
Got her back on all four tires. Need to bleed the brakes some more.

Have you driven it yet with the new engine or are you still working on getting it back on the road? Interested to hear how you like the engine.
 
I have driven it. I love the power this engines make. I don't have to wait 20 minutes to get it warmed up, just turn it on and go. I still have to work some bugs out like the shifting points and the drive shaft angle, other than that it is good.
 
You should look into those easy tap brake bleading nuts. They are dirt cheap and allow air and fluid out, but nothing back in. You just install them, loosen a 1/4 turn, pump until fluid comes out, and tighten. These might be well known, and I'm just a moron but I thought they were a godsend :D
