June Rubicon Trip (more pics)

Do you guys have any links to the crappers you use? I've got my brother coming and I asked him, laughed and said "in the Boy Scouts, we just go off and dig a hole".

Can't get doing that on a trail. Can you imagine.........

ahahahaha

Anybody have a U-joint press they're bringing along? (so I don't have to lol)
Should I unload the blazer and pull into the camping area or will there not be room? Hmmm might charge extra for another vehicle huh.

I started packing the truck today. Sh** fills up fast :doah::haha:Need moar bungees:waytogo:

No u joint press here.

Yeah ill come get you when you roll in and we'll go to the boat ramp, unload then head over to camp. The boat ramp parking lot is huge and super close to the camp ground, its also safer as far as break ins go.

I have a portable crapper made by clean waste that folds up flat. They're are several crappers on the trail and I heard they just got emptied.

No u-joint press but I'll have a large c-clamp.

I need to make me a honey bucket. yeah theres a bathroom where we'll camp saturday.

really?! It's a f***ing amusement park now huh. Damn Jeeps

Hahah yeah just short of cotton candy stands!

UPS should be dropping off the sliders in a bit :woot:

Finish up the hydro assist Eric?

Nice!! Which ones?

Almost. I need to update my lonely build thread. Got oil in the rear end, no leaks. Got the drive shaft bolted in with the yoke guard on. Brakes are bled and working. Machined a clamp for the tie rod bar. Took the old tie rod off last night and now im installing the spartan locker/HD diff cover. Then the hydro gets bolted on. Steering box part is all done. Might do a 5 day weekend to see if i can fit sliders in before the trip.

Dang! You guys have been kickin a**. I haven't hardly touched the truck, I ordered the steering cure from ruff stuff and picked up a new craftsman impact but haven't had time to install the cure. K85 Octane I might have to roll in late in the afternoon too if I can't get work off that day

Trail Gear 67" with the mounting brackets. Just got them about 20 minutes ago, hopefully I can mock them up tonight. Spartan locker is stupid easy once you get the pin out.

You're truck is built, ours are being built! I'd rather be in your shoes  The cure for the Tie Rod correct?

K85- Do you still need some race fuel? Napa has a bunch of Sunoco 110 leaded. I assume you're not running a catalytic converter?

Hahaha youre already trail proven though! Skunked and I have greenhorn trucks that still need christening!

Im interested in how the "cure" works out.

Sweet! Now we both have parts intended for yotas lol!

Seems like the spartan is super easy to put in i just havent been able to get the pin out yet. Im going to make a better rod to smack the pin out in a few minutes.

Race fuel? K85 uses jet fuel. Cycle gear has VP 110 as well and those stores are all over. My truck would be trading cylinder holes if i put that stuff in!

I used a 6" threaded stud IIRC.

I can get VP at Roseville Honda if needed.

My truck smells like race gas because the new to me mufflers came off my buddies ZZ502 that runs on a mix of 110 and pump. I love the way it smells, might need to spike the tank again :D

I'll take a 5 of some VPR if you can find some locally. It's for my ATV.

What is "the cure", other than a music band no? :)

oh that's the Oxygenated fuel....I ran that stuff in my drag car. I'll have to check and see if Roseville Honda has it and how much it is. Usually those oxygenated fuels are more than the regular 110 leaded stuff unless something has changed.

I havent purchased vp in a while but I remember it being about 7 bucks a gallon. My dad runs sunoco 115 in his corvette...like 10 bucks a gallon lol. smells like victory though!

Skunked are the sliders on yet?

It's all 10 bucks a gallon now from what I've been seeing, my buddy has a 55 gallon drum in his garage to save some $.

Working on the sliders now :D

Do you guys have 30spline hub spares? I have some for my extra set of front shafts but don't have any history with them.

Found my brakeline leaking at a connection when I stored the blazer. I'll work on that and storage/tool check list the week before.

How are you guys with trail fixes? Only couple things I've ever had to do was put front driveshaft back together and pull a hub.
Are those spares the ones I gave you? If so they have around 80,000 miles on them with the last 10,000 or so being pretty hard.

Nope, everything you gave me left with members at BB. :waytogo: The hubs came on the axle when it was in the junkyard. They seem fine but I've never installed or used these type. I think they are Superwinch or something. Thanks B.

I forgot to ask. Do I need extra gas? I run a 31 gal tank, I can't see that not being enough but figured I should ask.

You'll be fine, I'll have an extra 5 gallon can but I have a 24 gallon with a thirsty BBC.

Sweet

something to past the time, though I've watched these 43bazillion times already.....
