I figured it would get a little more exposure in here instead of the interior forum. I snagged some heated power seats out of a late 90s suburban. I'm trying to figure out what a couple wires do , a small yellow and a small brown? Seat belt chime?

I figured it out in case anyone else wants to swap in the seats. Orange wires hot black grounds brown is the switch hot for heated seats . Pretty easy swap front two holes have to be drilled out but back two bolt right up.

Wow really? I had some mid 90s seats in mine when I bought them. Holly cow did the PO fail at the install.

I thought I was going to have to use the blazer risers and graft them to the new seats and do a bunch of crazy stuff to install them. But that was not case . The suburban risers were about the same hight and worked fine. The only feature really lost is the instant forward slide to get in the back seat. Now it's a two step process hit the power button and fold down lever. My old seats were in decent shape but didn't have arm rest and that drove me nuts lol.

99 OBS suburban. I have not permanently hooked up the heated part yet. The wiring to the power features is a constant hot ,but the wiring for the heated part requires a switch hot so they will cut off when the truck isn't running. I can run them on a toggle but need to find a switch hot wire to make sure that they cut off. I'm pretty much stoked my old seats were clapped out and didn't have an arm rest. I've got a 07 duramax and a 04 z71tahoe both with heated leather seats and have gotten spoiled with them lol.

I grabbed a pair of buckets out of an AstroVan and I've had the motors wired since the start but didn't have a clue on the "heat" wiring. You guys may have just helped me take care of that
