I pulled the truck in the back yard today and gots some stuff done.
I pulled the driverside axle out on the d60 and replaced the ujoint. I also replaced the upper kingpin spring and bushing. I noticed the spindle bearing was toast, so I ordered a new one, will install tomorrow. since I was at idle waiting for a part , I decided to change the tranny pan gasket and filter. Its been marking its spot wherever I parked, so needed to be done. I also cleaned the wifes 97 grand cherokee I just bought her, gots some brownie points in. Then I went ahead replaced all the front leaf spring bushings on the cj5 project I have been tinkering with for over a year.
Tomorrow I will fix the shower faucet, go pick up a piece of body molding from this guy who is parting his cherokee, to replace the piece missing on the wifes cherokee, then stop at advance and pick up the spindle bearing So I can finish putting the truck back together, also will do the upper king pin spring and bushing on the passenger side..

I know I suck not supplying pics , just never think about it when I need to snap a few. Anyways spent the moring picking up parts. Finish the bathroom faucets , got the parts for the wifes cherokee and installed them. Picked up the spindle bearing for the dana60 and finished putting everything back together, but I thought I had tranny fluid, buit didnt. Didnt feel like going back out to get some, so i will pick it up tomorrow on the way home from work. Then spent the rest of the day playing ball with my son and a couple neighbor kids.

Sounds like a great way to spend days off, but this.........

this sounds like the most important thing of it all!:wink1:

It was !!!

Oh and for those who will ever have to replace ana inner spindle bearing, not hard at all. I used a very small chisel and cut the outer skin of it about half way down. Then I used a very small tip screwdriver and peeled it inward, then used pliers to pull it out. I greased up the inside and slowly tapped the new one in about 3/4 of the way. Then used a socket the same size and tapped it the rest of the way in till it was seated.

thats awesome, especially wit no SNAGS in the process. feels great dont it, like nothin can git in yer way. been there a few times, and i emphasize FEW:( but thats great, stay on the wave!!
