Oh yea, one part of the deal was that i have to give back the running boards that i didnt want anyway. And when i get there they are going to do an oil change.

So it was originally $45k and i got it for 33k. With nothing down and the jetta paid off. We were going to put some money down on it but decided we would be better off by putting that money down onto our credit cards. Ends up the payment is only $150 a month more than the jetta, but now our fuel bill is sure to go up... OH well. At least i got the excat truck i wanted while gas is still under $4.00 a gallon... :doah:

So, i will be selling the Tahoe, and the 77. Then getting the wife a little econo box of some type. I feel bad that she pretty much gave up her DD that she liked so much for me to get my dream truck, but she said its only fair. She said that since i bought her her car and she had it for 4 years, that its only right for me to have a truck now. Sounds good to me.

Good looking truck :waytogo: Good for you getting a decent price, I managed to get my Ram out the door for 11k under sticker when I bought it, whether you actually are getting a deal or not, it makes you smile getting that much off.

My dad bought it's Chevy little brother a few months ago, same color and cab/ bed configuration but 2wd.

what was the Jetta worth and what was payoff?
Any incentives?

I got a shot of the 2014 at the Chicago auto show....

The jetta was worth 8,600 on kbb in good condition. But it had also been in two wrecks. I owed 6,800 on it. They had a 5k new purchase incentive and a 1k trade in incentive.

You'll love that new truck!

Other than the DPF issues I've had with my diesel, I love my 2012!

that's the exact same one I'm getting... just have to wait 6 months before they are on the lots..

raise the front or lower the rear, the stinkbug looks gotta go lol.

I know! I think im going to do a half level. I think it sits 3" high in the rear. I'll raise the front 1.5" so it looks better but then wont look squatted every time i put anything in the bed.

Just downloaded the onstar app on my phone. Now i can do all kinds of rediculous stuff, from anywhere. Even keep track of where its at (im talking to you wife :deal:) I can lock/unlock the doors, check the miles, fuel level, tire pressures, start it. everything! I see this being really nice during the hot and cold months so that i can start the truck 10 minutes before i get off work! :D

uh oh!!! it's the beginning of the end....

You mean the machines taking over? Or me switching to the dark side of the new stuff? Either way, i was pretty happy when i jumped in the 77 yesterday and had to pump the gas to start it. So, i know my heart will never leave the old stuff.

Both...ahhh...I got a co-worker that has a GMC I think it's a 2012 Yukon or whatever the Jimmy became...I love it! It has the premium all leather interior..if I ever can afford to spring for a new ride I will get one of those...although I don't like the 2013 model near as much as the 2012...

Looks like most folks are doing a 2.5" spacer in the front to level these trucks. So, i think i want to find a 1.5" and that will get me where i want it. Also, the very first "mod" will be removing the stupid little front air dam thing...

Not sure on the gassers but on the dmaxes removing the air damn will void the warrnaty, as its part of the air-intake system........ I can tell all sorts of other horror stories about the new d-maxes
