badass. very badass.
funny how you can read & talk to folks for years and never know them beyond a user name.

I used to wheel with this guy in the Datsun at the Hammers. Not too many Datsun's out there. His rig "gets it"

Who is he? Several guys asked me and I don't know I never got his name. He was definatly a good guy. Atleast from the 3 hours I wheeled with him

What got me out.

Since my winch smoked itself it took these 3 guys and a highlift to get my ass end above the ledge to get me out.
David drove 1 hour one way to put me on a trailer and drag my sorry ass back to his shop. Then he gave my daughter and I a room to stay in a we got warm showers.

Dont try to save our dignity, we all know the datsun pulled you out while dragging keith and pushing me outta the way.
I was actually amazed at how quick you poped outta there with all three pulling after seeing the winch give up after dragging two big pig K5s back toward you.

I think the Hi lift under my ass end helped with the ease of the pull.
I did not realize I was pulling both of you guys backwards. No wonder my winch went POOF!!

Truckhaven brings back some memories . I see you're still around Leland, and Keith was out there too? How cool. Wow, pretty nice of David to help you out like that!
I did the same to a rear driveshaft at Blazer Bash. There is a nice ledge on Prichett that I smacked my rear driveshaft on...it folded up like yours did. I had a fixed yoke 205 though. No t-case damage, and once we got turned around and the remains unbolted I was able to drive out under my own power in front wheel drive. The hard parts I did need a tug or a winch line for, but they were not that often.
I got an uber beefy shaft built by Dirk the following day.
