but for the gears it depends on what you want to do with the truck. 4.10s would probably be ideal. or 4.56

Your post is far to vague. What transmission? What transfer case? What gears do you currently have? What is your intended use for the rig?

ok more info on the truck it has 5.7 350 i think it has 700 tranny it has 6' sup lift the tires are baja 36's the transfer case i am not sure it has cheap plastic hubs on it but i ordered some warn premium hubs just need gear now i think i am going to put a 4.56 in it just dont know a good make but is that going to much gear for driving on the road the motor and tranny seem to be strong just want a good fun mud truck and also still use it for hunting

With a 700R4, I'd say 4.56s are about right for 36" tires. I'm in the process of swapping 1 ton axles out of a CUCV into mine with 36s right now. This is something you should look into. You'll spend as much money on re-gearing yours (I'm assuming they're original) as you would buying a set of tons. FYI, 1 ton CUCVs come with 4.56s and a detroit in the rear. Some come with detroits in the front also.

Oh. The OP. I follow now. I thought you were replying to me.

I kinda dig it. Regular reading gets boring. I enjoy a challenge every once in awhile.

Yeah, I would send back the hubs. Regearing is a waste of money with half ton axles.
