I just pulled a '85 6.2 out of a M1008. It has a cracked head. I'll let the whole thing go for $20 or I'll give parts away to anyone local enough to come what they want. I'm keeping the intake and injection pump. Everything else goes or I'll haul it off for scrap. Carrollton, GA 30116

You willing to pull a crankshaft and ship it? I'm about to pull the oil pan of the 6.2 I blew up and hoping the damage is limited to a cracked crankshaft...

I'll pull and ship a crank as well as a tranny kickdown bracket. However, I need to compensated for my labor. The crank will be $50 plus shipping and the kickdown bracket will be $20 plus shipping. PM me for negotiations.

no, I wouldn't expect you to spend the time to pull and ship it for free... I just have to finish pulling the pan off of my old motor and make sure replacing the crank is gonna be possible and there isn't other damage making the block unusable.

Got it off... looks like the crank is the only thing I'm gonna need... but also reailzed it may be more to ship it than it would cost to buy another complete motor locally for parts. I hate to let good parts go to junk, but I can always find 6.2's that don't start for free around here too (usually they need something simple like new glowplugs).

I sense sarcasm. My idea was to let whoever wanted parts and was local come get whatever they want. If I'm gonna spend the time to pull a crank, clean it, grease the bearing journals to prevent rust, properly pack it to prevent damage, and then ship it, I want a little something for my time and packing materials. Do I sound stingy? If I do, feel free to say so.

no but you must relize to ship a giant heavy chunk of steel will cost a crap load compared to finding a local parts moter.

how much compansation for the PS pump brackit? shipped to 48234 MI

I'm just saying I don't want to make you pull it and ship it... its gonna be more expensive than its worth to me even though you have what I need. If i was close I would just grab the whole motor for parts and haul it away for you.

Darkshadow, I'm not sure if I want to part with the P/S pump bracket yet. I'm putting a 350 in place of the 6.2 and a 454 in place of the 350. I'm not sure if I can adapt that bracket to make it work on my 454 yet.

Yeah thats fine, only planing my swap now, still have to check the modifided brackit i am getting with the diesel will fit mine.

i am in no rush..

Do you still have the 24volt starter? is it in working condition? How many miles on motor? How does $75 shipped sound? I would come and get it myself but that would be quite the drive. Let me know.

Regards,
Remington
