Hey was that at the Safari parks multi club run? I was hoping to make it up there, but a cracked and bent frame is holding me up right now

Yup, that was indeed at the multi-club run. Saturday saw 17 rigs out, Sunday had only 4 or 5 of us. I was one of only two Chevy rigs in attendance the whole weekend though. Well, Chevy bodies anyways, everyone seems to be running Chevy drive trains.
My beater / totally gutted K5 with a $1000 turbo 6.2L diesel 10 bolt / 14 bolt & 34" tires did everything the giant Jeeps with 1 tons, 44s and apparently $10k engines did
Depending on how much I get done this summer, I may actually enter the 37+ tire class competition out there in August. I live so close to the park, that I am out there all the time, and there is next to nothing there that I am not comfortable just walking through, especially the competition loops.
As far as videos of the outside go -- I'm working on it, but I am having trouble getting my hands on any of the footage despite being filmed all day long. The Safari Park plans to use the footage of me in their multi-club run video, and Lee doesn't really want to give it out...
I am entering the Competition this august (if my rig is not broken at the time), it will be my first one ever to compete in. i'm pretty excited to go. I don't know if you went last year but a friend of mine entered it, he drove the white s10 blazer with a full size drive train.Love the sound of the little 6.2...

Yup, this will be my first time in a real competition too... We run mock competitions out there all the time, and I usually place quite well (top 3 at least, out of 20 some rigs), but I imagine the stress of doing it for prize money etc will make it a bit harder, haha
I was out there last August for a couple hours trying to help fix the Dodge that sheared it's sector shaft. Brought dude over to my place, pulled the box off one of my parts trucks, and sent him into the shop to remove the pitman arm while I did something else. He took my BFH and beat the crap out of it, ruining the shaft in the process. Left me with a wasted couple hours and a busted steering box with nothing in return =/
Oh well, so it goes! I did see your buddy's rig, but I didn't watch any of the rigs compete except for some of the big tire class trucks running through Gas Alley right at the end of the day.

LTB's must have some awesome traction. The deep mud in those holes isn't even making them break a sweat.
