Hello, after swapping in my 64" rear springs and installing a 14bff axle. I can see that once I install the DIY4x axle truss, it will probably hit the gas tank under compression.

Now I would like to raise the tank up and flip the crossmembers over so the tank sits on top of them, but the tank has an angled bottom. I have the 31 gallon tank. Now my question is: does the 25 gallon blazer tank have a flat bottom? or does it also have an angled bottom?

Also were k-5s TBI in 1987? LMC only lists the 25 gallon tank up to 1987.

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

Just get a fuel cell from summit or somewhere. Then you can mount it anywhere.......like on top.

my 84 has a flat bottom on its tank...ive got the 24gallon...i also have a 91 tbi blazer tank in the yard....i *think* its got a flat bottom on it but im not 100% sure.

I was thinking that, but do they sell one that will accept my fuel sender/pump? I'd hate to have to buy an aftermarket pump when my current one is almost brand new

If you really wanted to Im sure you could fab it up somehow, but why not do it up right? Its not too much cash for the external pump.

Huh...both of hte 31 gallon tanks that i have upstairs have the slanted bottom lip...this is what you mean right?

yes the rear of the tank angles upward for better departure angle

is this what you have? or dont want to have?
It is what I have and what I dont want. Because i was going to try and flip the factory crossmembers so the tank sat on top of them, and then make some hold-downs. Otherwise I will have to fab up something completly different
