k-5 still fireless

I've had customers buy new ignition modules and install them with the supplied stuff thats usually dielectric grease, then have them come back in a day or so with the expired new module in their hands, demanding a refund.........I guess its not the best stuff to use??...why they give it to you with the module is a mystery, unless they assume it'll gaurantee a quicker sale of another module...it's kinda like using vaseline on trojans, many guys dont know it will dissolve the rubber and increase chances of unwanted pregnancy by quite a bit......................................................................................................I've seen guys use anti-seize or wheel bearing grease as a substitute in a pinch under a module, and they usually fail rapidly afterwards...I have cheated and scraped the compund off the old module and even salvaged some more off junk cars when we put in a used module to get a junk car at the junkyard to run before...I've used Permatex Dielectric compund on my ignition modules with no troubles, but I will look for the heat transfer compund instead if I ever need to replace another one...
