Hey Guys,

Did a bit of horse tradin with Iceman44 and got a 84 K20 Sub. Looks like this thing hasnt been on the road in like 3 years or so.

I have put in new Glow Plugs (the old ones were removed, except the 2 under the turbo, that was a pita)

Had the starter check, cause it was draggin, so it failed and its been replaced.

Bled the air from the fuel/water seperator.

Replaced the several battery cables. (various issues)

Tried to start it up, wouldnt fire. Even used a bit of WD40 & fresh diesel in the intake.

It would sound like it would hit, but not like I would think.

Loosened up a few injector lines, turned it over, no squirty-squirt.

I will check the pink wire on the IP, but other than that...

got any ideas before I pull this IP out and send it in for a rebuild....

thx
Tom

It takes a lot to bleed the lines . Putting anything in the intake won't work unless it's starting fluid (which you DON'T want to use ) Are you getting smoke at the tailpipes ? If not you still have air .

Wasnt paying attention to the tail pipes... but I did work on it for a while...

I will hit it again in two weeks.... got to work OT this weekend....

I can tell you I had fuel at all the lines, and I had some white trace of smoke at the tail pipe, it still wouldn't fire.
I don't know if it was the IP or the Glow plugs, but even with starting fluid it made an attempt to start but didn't follow thru.

check ur comp first then go on to check ur line pressure coming out of the IP then if thats all good pull all the injector and check for any thing odd, i had a 6.5 do this to me a while back and bottum line i end up replacing the IP and injectors, by the time it was all done, oh and change ur fuel filter it could be cloged and not allowing enough fuel to flow threw there. ran it to that a time or two too.
