k30 swap utility bed question

i'm thinking about buying an 87 k30, 454tbi, 205/465, d60/14bff 4.10's open. it has dual tanks, can i swap in a k10 bed?

Check it over really well if you go look at it in person. I know the service bed on my dodge would be difficult to remove. Not saying it's impossible but would be a heck of a job.

It's bolted in a lot of places and the bumper of the service bed is welded to the hitch which is bolted to the frame. The gooseneck hitch is welded to some crossmembers that would need to be cut out as well.

Clean looking K30 though! I'd slap some wheels/tires on, remove the rack and run it!
 
If it is originally a pickup box truck then yes it is a bolt on. If it is originally a cab and chassis truck it my have a longer wheel base.

Measure from the back of the cab to the center of the rear axle:
Cab and chassis trucks: 60"
Pickup box trucks: 56"
 
thanks for the pointers, i'll check it out. guy is out of town till wed but said he'd sell it without the utility bed if i'd help him remove it.
