k5 12v cummins swap build (slow progress)

That's why a donor truck is the best way to go, because it has all the nickel and dime parts needed to do the conversion. Most people wouldn't want it anyway after it's been stripped.

I'm in the Binghamton area, looks like we're all spread out. We need to get up sometime once I hit the states.

I still own a home in Binghamton on the south side. The rusty 1 ton I just bought and scrapped is from Conklin.

We're actually in Greene which isn't far. I'll do some travelling when I do get settled in to meet some of you guys and do some work.

My wife is actually from the area, I was from NC and she wanted to move back so we did. I have been overseas for the last 3 years, so I've only know a few people in NY. Would be nice to meet some good people that are into the same stuff.

Great project man! :waytogo: Awesome to see a young guy doing something so ambitious and keep the torch going.

Just curious what you're going to do with that rattle can paint you sprayed the frame with? Are you just going to coat right over it with the bedliner? Only reason I mention it is because the longevity of your bedliner / adhesion is only going to be as good as the foundation its sitting on.

I know you're not exactly looking for a mirror finish on a frame, I get it, but it would suck to put in all that work and then have the bedliner you apply to the frame lift / peel / fall out premature.

I'm no bodywork expert, and maybe somebody will have other advice and say I'm being over cautious, we'll see. Either way, it is prepped and ready much better than before right!?

Why suffer the short wheel base of a Blazer, if you are going to make it a pickup?
