Anyone have pics of there custom exhaust on K5? Looking for best possible way to route it.

Looking at my exhaust and how it is right now is not the best way as it comes down both side of the transmission and 1 pipe is near fuel filter then goes to single 3 inch.

Thinking should be routed on drivers side since so open and can install new cat and bigger muffler to quite it down and run it out drivers side.

Never, ever pass up a chance to pic whore....

Shorty headers, 2.5" Y pipe in to 3" single with a Magnaflow muffler.

I’ll be watching this. Mine is a Y pipe back to a 1 into 2 thrush and dumped. I need to route it out.

I have not touched my exhaust yet but dang, I sure need to. I'm pretty sure whoever started my K5 took the exhaust out from under some ole car in the scrap yard...has long tube headers that are 1/2 inch from the front drive shaft. Definitely watching this one...

Mine runs below my front driveshaft and I hate it. The shaft hits when I am drooped out, and my once round exhaust pipe is now flat.....

Mine is routed pretty much like the others have shown...except I'm running "mid length" headers which took a 90* bend where they dump to get over the driveshaft and under the trans. Merged on the drivers side. Nothing terrible, but I needed to do a better job over the driveshaft as it made pretty good contact once the suspension compressed hard.

Eventually intent is to run a converter in the stock location, with the appropriate heat shield, and a more effective muffler to quiet the whole thing down.

Since photofuckit ruined all my pictures. Saved for later to remember to whore a picture out.

shorty S10 350 swap headers with a cross over in front of the tranny pan and a Y pipe down the drivers side. I cheated and used that nefarious flex pipe to get it up high and as tight as I could.

Ok, retrieved from PB.

2.5" Y into 3"
Had to run a cat, which pushed muffler to under the bed (slightly quieter than under my seat) and the tailpipe is similar to the first posted pictures.

I am having an issue with front driveshaft exhaust clearance on my truck as well. Your design of looping it around the front of the engine oil pan is interesting.

Your basic outboarded headers to a torsion-box muffler... zig-zag over the frame again, then back out past the fuel tank to a stock rear exit type setup?
