Will the 31 gallon burb/k5 efi tank fit? Without hitting the 14 bolt? I know the 25 gal k5 tank will ...
Im about to buy a NEW ONE and want to make sure it would fit before I spend the bucks...
anyone have this setup that I can talk to?
truck is an 89 v3500 c and c....
I mocked up the 25 gal k5 tank and it appears to work....

thanks

I tore out crossmembers when bobbing my frame and dropped in a 30 gallon or so EFI Chevy Can Tank, same size as the K5 tank with a different seam location

how much clearance do you have... and do you wheel with it?

I have a 5 inch superlift on the rig and I can also go a little higher in the frame because the rig is a custom flatbed

chevy efi "CAN" tank... which chevy is that?

thanks

I swapped a blazer tank into a K10. Its ghetto but it works. Its under the bed where the spare tire would be on an original truck. Let me know if you want pics or more info.

thanks orion... I have the k5 in a truck writeup so Im good there.... I was wondering if the larger 31 gal tank would work and still clear the 14bolt...

thanks

So, do you HAVE to mount the burb/blazer in the rear where they are located on the burb/blazer?

I like where it's located now on my K10, near the middle of the truck. Also that way I could use the stock filler spots.

Any way to make the larger tanks work with the stoc tank location on the trucks, or am I better off going with dual tanks?

Anything is possible with a little fab work :thumb:

I'd think you would have t-case / driveshaft clearance issues with it near the middle of the truck...

I am installing one of the larger suburban tanks into my K25, and thus far, it doesn't appear I will have any clearance issues with the 14 bolt.

31 gal tank, rear of my 84 Dually (dana 70) Fits fine. The filler neck comes out behind the rear tires.
