Hey guys. I've been using the forum more and more lately to troubleshoot on my '85 Blazer build so I thought it might be appropriate to post up and share some of my progress. Most recently I recovered all the seats with a kit from LMC Truck.

Overall, the job went pretty smoothly but I also had some help from an expert. Curious to hear from the guys and gals on this forum what upholstery kits you have used in the past other than LMC? I still need to figure out what to do about my door panels and the panels in the back of the truck.

Thank you for all the great resources and discussion on this forum about one of my favorite classic vehicles.

I've been looking at new seat upholstery but haven't pulled the trigger. Probably do new foam too.

That rivet gun is older than me.

I haven't seen an upholstery guy roll contact cement in a lot of years. Everyone sprays it now. That headliner will never fall.

Looks good.

HA! The spray gun was so clogged from sitting unused it was just easier to roll on than spend an hour cleaning the gun for one headliner. And yeah some of those tools are ancient.

I used an LMC kit one time on a bench seat. I did it myself because here in the big city all the upholstery shops, transmission shops, exhaust shops, or any specialty shop is so overrun with business that they are pissed off if you even dare to show up wanting them to do any work for you, and just want you to go away. So, I just do as much of my own work as possible.

Do they make 88-91 front covers?

Edit:
Never mind, they don't. Just loooked.

Acme is the only company I found that makes these for $650 and you are required to buy rear seat. Cheapest through rock auto.
