Not trying to bust your balls, but it appears you are trying to reinvent the wheel. Check my build thread and look at the photos. The stock placement of the hinges should be fine. For sealing you will need the tail pan at the bottom.

Really like the idea, only thing to me is this. so ok you get them mounted, your get them to work the way you want... ok now how do they seal where your glass use to be? if each door has its own glass that rises up how do they seal in between? not sure if that's how your even doing it, like i said i really like this idea hope to see pix soon!

okay, i have also concidered the whole what if game with the top..
i can make and rig up a rear window like a 95 suburban but electric off the top! if thats necessary but its not. i love cruisin without my top im just making a safari top to keep the sun off my darn neck.
