I've already caged my K5 and its welded in tight. I'm currently duplicating my cage and making a bolt together version but I want to test fit it in someones truck as well as take some snapshots. There won't need to be any dismantling, should be really straight forward. I'll make it worth your while, but I only need one person.

damn, too bad you aren't in texas, i could fix you up, any certain year you are looking for, i would be interested in the finished product sometime /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Let me measure off a first gen, I'm not sure this will fit since its designed to fit tight to the inside of the cab. I'm sure I'll head down the first gen road in the future so i'll keep you in mind.

Steven (Waxer) has jumped on board and will be the test truck. Well, not completey since I'm not asking him to roll it. We'll see how everything goes, make whatever changes it may need and see from there if its economical, enough to market it anyhow.

I'll do it! Even if I have to roll it... You fix the body... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'll take out the glass and remove the mirrors and what ever else is needed for the test. But I expect body dammage to be repaired... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Carefull.. i might start a CK5 pool to pay for the damage and we'll film the event and stream it on the net for the mases..

Who would pay to see this man roll his truck???

Oh, that would be good!

That could be interesting! But I'm not ready to to venture into the sub culture yet either. Once I get a modular base kit that I'm happy with it should adapt to most every model chevy/gmc truck / blazer / sub. I'll keep you in mind for when that time comes around.

I just missed a 73 4x4 sub for sale here in the area for $600 running and in good condition /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

wow cool thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey if Waxer doesn't come threw for you ( ya know maybe he'll FALL down and get hurt at the trail cleanup next week /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif and just can't make it to your house with his truck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) then I will be more than glad to offer my Blazer for the cause. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Hahah, eh uh hum.. thats not funny! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I think Murietta is a little closer than orange county, though.. and I've already got a roll over clause built into that one! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

hahaha you bastard!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

now I gotta decide whats more important...

1. Let my K5 be the guinnea pig with a custom cage and probable injury/death at a trail cleanup.

2. or skip the whole thing and keep my health.

decisions... decisions...

CAGE IT IS!!!!!
