1989 K5.

Laugh if you want: I got a 2003 Dodge/Ram bench, had it installed. Great, except one problem: I didn't figure out that the seats tilt forward, but do not SLIDE forward. So the kids have to climb in from the side (top is permanently gone), every time.

So: Can anyone give me a year/make/model of front bench seats that tilt AND SLIDE forward?

Any other relevant info is welcomed. There is a lot of bad/incorrect info floating around on the interwebs on this subject.

Personally I like the early 2000's Silverado seats. Its 3 pieces but that center jump seat/console is nice when you don't need a bench. And the pass side folds and slides.

These would be the 1999-2006 models?

Does the driver side seat fold and slide forward as well?
Does it have to be a crew cab model?

The way I screwed this up before is the (Dodge Ram) seat was out of the truck, sitting on a concrete floor in a pick and pull building. I looked, but did not realize that the seat does not slide forward. I'm not sure, but I think that a critical distinction is whether the bench seat comes from a crew cab/four-door pickup versus an extended cab pickup Thank you!

Yep 99-06. On my work truck both sides tip forward and slide forward. In my old truck I had enough room to get into the back from the front passenger side

I installed a '99-06 center jump seat between my factory seats so I could keep the flip forward pass seat setup but make my blazer a 6 seater.
@K5Devil was building a pass seat base for newer seats.
