What's the difference? The emblem on the side says K5, but my title (paper-work) says K-10??
I've really enjoyed all the post's I've read here, and I'm learning lot's of things about Blazers. This winter I found one, it's an '82, and I hope to do some up grades.
Anyways, I'm new here, and 'thanks-in-advance' for all the tips.

A K-10 is a 1/2 ton truck a K5 is a full size blazer dont know why your title says that mine doesnt

Maybe it's a K10 because the pic is easily twice as big as it needs to be...:D

Nice truck

My titles are ALLLL screwed up. My K20, now with one tons, is a K10, my blazer is a K10, my K10 was aaaaaaaa............. K20

I have the same problem, the truck is a 3/4 ton but it says K10 on the title?

oh well it's just a piece of paper, I still have the order sheet from the factory in the truck.

Bhintz: thanks, I'll check into the error on my paper work.
tRustyK5: I reduced the image size, I'm new to all this...
Resurrection Joe: Thanks, I was very lucky to find this one, I had been looking for a while. The first owner, (maybe I'm not sure) put the lift on.
I think it's about 4inches, but he did a good job and used good parts.

Saturday while browsing at my local tire shop I saw some 'Cooper-STT's', they look pretty nice to me, (about $160 each), has anyone used these tires?
Cooper and Pro Comp are the same outfit right? They should be a good tire.

I am running Mickey Thompson M/T's 35x12.50x15 I love em, they are quiet on the road and provide ample traction in mud. Don't know a price on them, but I like them over A/T's.

K/5 is just a name used on the fender emblem. All Blazer VINs identify them as a K10 (half ton truck chassis) with a utility body.

No I guess not. Im actually in Clayton. But who the hells heard of Clayton(maybe Skipolini's).I thought I was all alone out here.
Let me commend you on your site. I have been looking for a while for old pictures of 67-72 era and these are great. You havent been able to find one on 72 trucks I guess though :frown1:

For what it's worth my 'title' says:

1981 GMC Jimmy
2 door station wagon

Rene

LOL, true that! Not many full convertable station wagons around either...

Here a K5 is considered a passenger vehicle like a car (car plates too) Same goes for any SUV...

Rene

My first K5 was a '78 and on it's title it was listed as a van.

Concord rocks. THE K10 just designates it as a half ton and the k5 is for the 5 passenger suv.Just for the ones that don't know. I know most of us do.

I've never seen k5 on a blazer title ever.

But...there are station wagon titles and truck titles...
I guess...they had no rime or reason.

It's nice to have a station wagon title in Ohio...the plates are cheaper!!!:cool1:

I drive a station wagon as well:grin: Good thing too, a station wagon doesn't require mudflaps in the state of AZ:)

All Blazer VINs identify them as a K10 (half ton truck chassis) with a utility body.

Not all Blazers are K10. Newer Blazers 87-91 are V10. The V set them apart from Chevy K series trucks when they went IFS on the pickups, and kept the SFA on the Blazers.
